Abstract
The synthesis, spectroscopic (1H NMR, IR, UV-Vis, ESR) and electrochemical properties as well as chemical oxidation of new bis(N-alkyl-3,5-Bu2t-salicylaldiminato)copper(II) complexes are described. Chemical oxidation of the complexes with (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 as supported by ESR and UV/Vis examination, results in the of generation Cu(II)-phenoxyl radical complexes.
