Abstract
Some blue-emitting iridium(III) based phosphorescent materials were synthesized and their photoluminescence and electroluminescence behaviors were studied. The relative thermodynamic stability of the mer versus fac isomer was investigated and correlated to their corresponding redox and photoluminescence properties. The fabrication of a device using mCP as the host exhibited improved electroluminescence performance.
