Abstract
Herein we discuss the formation of the Schiff-base lateral macrobicycles L1 and L2 in the presence of barium thiocyanate, and we describe the X-ray crystal structure of the corresponding barium complex with L1, comparing it to that previously described for the perchlorate analogue.
