Complexes of a triazine-3-thione ligand with divalent metals

Reactions of 5-methoxy-5,6-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-2H-[1,2,4]triazine-3-thione LH2OCH3 with divalent metal nitrates afforded 1:2 metal/ligand complexes (except for the cobalt complex 4 where the ratio is 1:3), in which the triazine shows a different behaviour depending on the metal structural preferences, acting at least as a NS bidentate ligand.
