Abstract
ATP interacts with binuclear rhodium (II) complex [Rh2(OAc)2(phen)2(H2O)2](OAc)2 by stacking with the phenanthroline ligand. The interaction of Rh(II) complex have been investigated using 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, 1H-15N NMR HMBC experiments and UV-VIS difference spectroscopy. NMR and UV-VIS measurements suggest that phosphate residue of ATP does not interact with the positively charged [Rh2]2+ in axial position. In the presence of [Rh2(OAc)2(phen)2(H2O)2](OAc)2 in acidic solutions (pD 3.35) deprotonation of N1 nitrogen atom of ATP molecule occurs.
