Abstract
An Er(III)-chelated complex exhibits a strong intensity NIR emission around 1.53 μm. It can be attributed to an efficient energy transfer between organic ligand and Er ion, since there is a spectral overlap between the emission band of the organic ligands and the absorption bands of the Er ion.
