Abstract
⺠TiC/a-C:H coatings with good balance between hardness and toughness were deposited. ⺠TiC/a-C:H coatings exhibit super-low friction and lower wear rate than MoS2. ⺠TiC/a-C:H coatings are good solid lubricating coating for helium applications.
