Abstract
⺠Some 15Na2O-20CaO-5Al2O3-(60-x)SiO2-xZnO glasses were prepared by quenching method. ⺠Multiple DSC exotherms originate from combeite, wollastonite and ZnO-based phases. ⺠ZnAl2O4 and Ca1.94Zn0.43Al1.25Si1.38O7 were found in the devitrified Z10 at 924 °C. ⺠Abundance of the Q3 species decreases in the Z(0/ 4/ 7/ 10) glasses as ZnO increases. ⺠Contrary, enhanced electrical conductivity was recorded for richer ZnO melts.
