Abstract
► We have synthesized BaSiO3, Ba2SiO4, Ca3SiO5, and two silicate glasses. ► 17O NMR was used to quantify the oxygen sites in BaSiO3 and the two glasses. ► We find good agreement between expected and observed non-bridging oxygen content. ► We see no evidence for deviation from standard models of glass structure.
