Abstract
⺠MgO increases the temperature of peak crystallization. ⺠MgO enlarges the sintering windows (working range). ⺠Thermal expansion coefficient of the glasses decreases with MgO content. ⺠MgO retards glass bioactivity but does not inhibit it. ⺠MgO glass coatings biocompatible to fibroblasts but not to osteoblasts.
