Abstract
► Short-range structures of GexSe100 −x glasses are studied using 77Se NMR and Raman spectroscopy. ► Considerable violation of chemical order has been observed in the stoichiometric glass. ► A random distribution of Ge―Ge bonds can be inferred in the Se-deficient glasses. ► Structure of Se-excess glasses is intermediate between a random and a clustered network.
