Abstract
⺠Linear Drucker-Prager yield criterion well describes fused silica deformation. ⺠An AFM scan imported to FE code simulates the indentation with real tip geometry. ⺠Simulation of the calibration experiments to extract the tip area function. ⺠Larger tip area is obtained by fused silica calibration.
