Abstract
► The challenge was to elaborate sol-gel glass with high content of sodium oxide. ► So, as consequence, it must be found the conditions to synthesize it. ► Furthermore, its structure and textural features were compared to those of melt derived counterpart. ► The obtained results show that the synthesis mode mainly influences specific surface area and porosity. ► Hence, sol-gel glass exhibits properties for high kinetics of bioactivity.
