Abstract
⺠The challenge was to elaborate sol-gel glass with high content of sodium oxide. ⺠So, as consequence, it must be found the conditions to synthesize it. ⺠Furthermore, its structure and textural features were compared to those of melt derived counterpart. ⺠The obtained results show that the synthesis mode mainly influences specific surface area and porosity. ⺠Hence, sol-gel glass exhibits properties for high kinetics of bioactivity.
