Abstract
► Plane thermal transpiration of a rarefied gas in the presence of gravity is studied. ► Asymptotic analysis for slow variation in the flow direction is conducted. ► Behavior for weak gravitation is studied analytically and numerically. ► The condition that weak gravitation is non-negligible is clarified.
