Abstract
⺠Plane thermal transpiration of a rarefied gas in the presence of gravity is studied. ⺠Asymptotic analysis for slow variation in the flow direction is conducted. ⺠Behavior for weak gravitation is studied analytically and numerically. ⺠The condition that weak gravitation is non-negligible is clarified.
