Abstract
Annihilation rates of vector 1ââ charmonium and bottomonium S13 states Vâe+eâ and Vâ3γ, Vâγgg and Vâ3g are estimated in the relativistic Salpeter method. In our calculations, special attention is paid to the relativistic correction, which is important and cannot be ignored for excited 2S, 3S and higher excited states. We obtain Î(J/Ïâ3γ)=6.8Ã10â4 keV, Î(Ï(2S)â3γ)=2.5Ã10â4 keV, Î(Ï(3S)â3γ)=1.7Ã10â4 keV, Î(Ï(1S)â3γ)=1.5Ã10â5 keV, Î(Ï(2S)â3γ)=5.7Ã10â6 keV, Î(Ï(3S)â3γ)=3.5Ã10â6 keV and Î(Ï(4S)â3γ)=2.6Ã10â6 keV.
