Abstract
Recent advances in the development of a chiral linear Ï-model with (axial-)vector mesons are presented. The model is based on the basic requirements of global chiral symmetry and dilatation invariance. The role of (axial-)vector states turns out to be crucial both in the meson and the baryon sectors. First results at non-zero temperature and density are discussed.
