Abstract
Fermi Liquid theory provides a systematic approach to the dynamics of fermionic systems at any scale. We discuss an ab initio approach to nuclear matter and finite nuclei by deriving first a covariant energy density functional and then deriving the quasiparticle and residual interactions self-consistently. Applications to quasielastic (e,eâ²) scattering and charge exchange excitations are presented.
