Abstract
⺠Geriatric diabesity is confounded by the obesity paradox and sarcopenia. ⺠Neuroimaging results show same pattern in obese and cocaine/opioid addicts. ⺠Sugars (especially HFCS) and fats are addictive and pro-inflammatory. ⺠Fasting (CR, ADF, or DR) is the “new” abstinence. ⺠Detox/reset requires metabolic, addictive and relationship treatment simultaneously. ⺠Diabese geriatric patients need careful supervision by physician and dietician.
