Abstract
► Embryonic cells and hearts from clk-1-deficient mice could be cultured with serum. ► They exhibited slowed cell growth and heart rate, and mitochondrial dysfunctions. ► Exogenous CoQ completely recovered growth, heart rate, and mitochondrial function. ► clk-1 regulates biological rates via CoQ-mediated mitochondrial function in mice.
