Abstract
⺠The aging process leads to changes in muscle quality and quantity. ⺠Changes in muscle quality can be assessed using the gray scale of ultrasound imaging. ⺠Muscle quality can represent the muscle quantity of connective and adipose tissues. ⺠The relationship between echo intensity and neuromuscular function is unknown. ⺠Echo intensity was associated with strength and cardiovascular parameters in elderly.
