Abstract
⺠3-nitrotyrosine increases in skeletal muscle during aging, especially in mitochondria. ⺠Mitochondrial proteins are sensitive to nitration generated by high calorie diet. ⺠The 3-nitrotyrosine modifications are correlated with muscle loss during aging.
