A single nucleotide polymorphism of the adenosine deaminase, RNA-specific gene is associated with the serum triglyceride level, abdominal circumference, and serum adiponectin concentration

► Adenosine deaminase, RNA-specific (ADAR) was known to be associated with longevity. ► We assessed longevity associated three ADAR single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). ► Rs2805533 was significantly associated with adiposity and serum adiponectin levels. ► ADAR may be associated with longevity via affecting serum adiponectin levels.
