Abstract
⺠First report on CAF, a neurotrypsin proteolysis product of agrin. ⺠Agrin proteolysis (CAF) is detectable in humans and elevated in sarcopenia patients. ⺠This report links elevated proteolysis of the neuromuscular junction to sarcopenia. ⺠Selective inhibition of neurotrypsin lowers agrin degradation.
