Abstract
⺠Immunosenescence-related transcripts profiled in PBMC of elderly with hip fracture. ⺠29 differentially abundant transcripts identified in acute phase vs healthy ageing. ⺠7 of these transcripts differentially abundant in PBMC of aged vs young controls. ⺠CD28, CD69, LCK, CTSD, HMOX1, TNFRSF1A further altered after hip fracture. ⺠Comparison to geriatric infections includes commonalities with hip fracture.
