Abstract
⺠A new model of TCR signaling downmodulation mediated by CD5 is proposed. ⺠The C-terminal region of CD5 appears to be crucial for TCR-mediated downregulation. ⺠The mechanism relies in the recruitment of p-c-Cbl to the C-terminal region of CD5. ⺠Activation of associated p-c-Cbl results in degradation of downstream target Vav.
