Abstract
⺠We investigated the protective effect of autophagy pathway against MTB infection. ⺠MTB-infected A549 cells had higher LDH release. ⺠Inhibition of autophagy signaling significantly enhanced the MTB-induced necrosis. ⺠Autophagy prevents apoptosis and promotes cell survival in infected cells.
