Abstract
⺠CD24+ cells in ovarian cancer possess various cancer stem cell (CSC) properties. ⺠CD24+ cells show an invasive mesenchymal phenotype. ⺠CD24 expression is related to CXCR4/SDF-1-mediated chemotactic migration. ⺠CD24 expression stimulates cell adhesion to fibronectin through the activation of β1 integrin. ⺠CD24+ cells are associated with the aggressiveness of human ovarian cancer.
