Abstract
⺠LMT-335 is a novel synthetic antioxidant designed as an anti-ischemic agent. ⺠LMT-335 protected neurons from oxygen-glucose deprivation and reoxygenation. ⺠LMT-335 reduced OGD/R-evoked oxidative stress by enhancing astroglial HO-1 proteins. ⺠HO-1 inhibitor SnPP abolished the neuroprotective effect of LMT-335. ⺠Our data propose astroglial HO-1 as a novel therapeutic target for ischemic stroke.
