Abstract
⺠LOX-1 abrogation inhibits CD36 and enhances MSR1 expression in macrophages. ⺠Altered MSR1 expression accounts for sustained ox-LDL uptake despite LOX-1 deletion. ⺠The effect of LOX-1 deletion is mediated via intracellular PPAR-γ alteration.
