Effect of siRNAs targeting the EGFR T790M mutation in a non-small cell lung cancer cell line resistant to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors and combination with various agents

► T790M siRNAs reduce cell growth, induce caspase activity in T790M mutant cells. ► EGFR siRNAs inhibit cell growth, induce apoptosis regardless of driver gene mutation. ► Addition of T790M siRNAs rescues the sensitivity of T790M mutant cells to TKIs. ► T790M siRNAs and cetuximab/afatinib additively enhanced cell growth regression. ► Extra effect was achieved with afatinib and cetuximab in T790M mutant H1975 cells.
