Abstract
► cAMP/Dex induces BTG2 gene expression but not in insulin treatment. ► Overexpression of BTG2 induces hepatic gluconeogenesis via induction of CREB. ► BTG2 regulates CREB occupancy on the PEPCK gene promoter via a physical interaction. ► cAMP/Dex-induced hepatic gluconeogenesis is mediated by BTG2.
