Abstract
⺠AcCI is a honeybee (Apis cerana) chymotrypsin inhibitor. ⺠AcCI inhibits chymotrypsin, but not trypsin. ⺠AcCI inhibits human neutrophil elastase and porcine pancreatic elastase. ⺠AcCI does not inhibit factor Xa, thrombin, plasmin, or tissue plasminogen activator. ⺠AcCI acts as an anti-elastolytic factor.
