Abstract

âº LXR agonist activation increases liver TG accumulation by increasing lipogenesis. âº C/EBPÎ²â/â mouse prevents LXR activation-mediated induction of hepatic lipogenesis. âº C/EBPÎ² deletion increases mitochondrial transport chain function. âº Beneficial effects of LXR activation on liver cholesterol metabolism did not change. âº C/EBPÎ² inhibition might have important therapeutic potential.
