► Some lysosomes in DRG neurons expressed vesicular ATP transporter (VNUT). ► Lysosomal exocytosis activator decreased ATP containing lysosome in soma. ► The lysosomal exocytosis inhibitors suppressed ATP release in culture medium. ► Lysosomal exocytosis may be alternative ATP release machinery for DRG neurons.
