Abstract
► Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress increases total tau protein levels. ► The degradation of tau protein delays under ER stress. ► The binding of tau and carboxyl terminus of Hsc70-interacting protein was decreased. ► The increase of tau protein by ER stress may provide clue to treatment for tauopathy.
