Abstract
⺠The renin activity of acidified prorenin (free form) depends on time and pH. ⺠Acidified prorenin at pH 4.5, 5.5, and 6.5 has similar binding affinity to (P)RR. ⺠Acidified prorenin at pH 3.3 hardly binds to (P)RR. ⺠(P)RR-bound acidified prorenin also shows the renin activity. ⺠Acidified prorenin could lead to pathogenesis of diseases by modulating RA system.
