Abstract
⺠The cytoplasmic domain of Ste6â is demonstrated as the ERAD-C determinant of Doa10p. ⺠Untethering the Doa10p ERAD-C determinant from the ER membrane changes its quality control pathway. ⺠The study shows that biosynthetic mode can be the prime determinant in protein quality control.
