Abstract
⺠Cigarette smoking impair macrophage bacterial phagocytosis but mechanisms unclear. ⺠Cigarette smoke (CS) exposure increase oxidized phospholipids (Ox-PLs) in mice lungs. ⺠Instillation of Ox-PLs impair bacterial clearance in mice lungs. ⺠EO6 mAb prevents Ox-PLs induced inhibition of macrophage bacterial phagocytosis. ⺠Ox-PLs in lungs of CS-exposed mice impair macrophage bacterial phagocytosis.
