Abstract
⺠Rds2 is required for growth on nonfermentable carbon sources. ⺠Gluconeogenic genes PCK1 and SIP4 expression is abolished in a Îrds2Îcat8 strain. ⺠Rds2 binds to the genes SIP4, ADR1 and HAP4 encoding transcriptional regulators. ⺠Gene targets of Rds2 significantly overlap with Adr1 targets. ⺠Interplay among regulators provides flexible regulation of carbon metabolism.
