Abstract
⺠Acetaldehyde-derived DNA adducts may play a crucial role in carcinogenesis. ⺠The stability of a major DNA adduct N2-ethylidene-2â²-deoxyguanosine is not known. ⺠DNA adduct was analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. ⺠The half-life of DNA adducts was estimated as 35 h in vitro in HL60 cells. ⺠Acetaldehyde exposure from daily alcohol drinking may cause DNA damage.
