Abstract
⺠Expression and activity of GlyT1 and GlyT2 changes over development. ⺠GlyT1 is the transporter responsible for the majority of neonatal glycine uptake. ⺠Expression and activity of GlyT2 increases significantly postnatally. ⺠Both transporters contribute about equally to glycine uptake in adulthood.
