Abstract
⺠A novel FAK inhibitor TAE226 suppressed FAK activity in HCT116 colon cancer cells. ⺠TAE226 suppressed proliferation and migration, with a modest effect on adhesion. ⺠Silencing of FAK by siRNA made no obvious difference on cancer cell attachment. ⺠TAE226 treatment suppressed the progression of peritoneal dissemination. ⺠Oral administration of TAE226 prolonged the survival of tumor-bearing mice.
