Abstract
⺠Pyroptosis is induced through the inhibition of a tyrosine phosphatase by sodium orthovanadate. ⺠Phosphatase inhibition induces ASC speck formation and secretion of IL-1β. ⺠Phosphorylation is important in the activation of caspase-1 and induction of pyroptosis.
