► Dietary salt regulated phosphorylation and ubiquitination of NCC in mouse kidney. ► Ubiquitination of NCC was decreased in PHAII mouse model. ► NCC phosphorylation increased its total and membranous expression. ► NCC phosphorylation decreased its ubiquitination within plasma membranes.
