Abstract
⺠HIV-1 induces amyloid beta accumulation in brain endothelial cells. ⺠This effect is lipid raft and caveolae dependent. ⺠HIV-1 induced RAGE overexpression involves caveolae. ⺠The Ras signaling pathway plays a critical a role in the HIV-1-induced amyloid beta accumulation.
