Abstract
⺠EGR2 and SREBP1a expression each activate bovine SCD5 promoter reporters. ⺠SREBP1a and EGR2 do not act synergistically on the SCD5 promoter. ⺠SREBP1a and EGR2 may bind the same site in the bovine SCD5 promoter. ⺠A region of the SCD5 promoter important for basal transcription was identified.
