Abstract
⺠The finding that muscle may be a source of isoprene in humans is investigated. ⺠Duchenne muscle dystrophy patients are recruited as prototypic test subjects. ⺠A >8-fold reduction in breath/blood isoprene compared to healthy adults is seen.
