Abstract
⺠We examined the expression and role of TLR9 in Helicobacter pylori-induced gastritis. ⺠TLR9 was expressed in the macrophages, dendritic cells, and CD3+ cells. ⺠TNF-α and IFN-γ levels in TLR9 KO mice were higher than those in wild-type mice. ⺠Administration of IFN-α decreased TNF-α and IFN-γ levels in TLR9 KO mice. ⺠TLR9 has IFN-α-mediated anti-inflammatory properties in H. pylori-induced gastritis.
