Abstract
⺠Rotenone is a model for inducing apoptosis and synphilin-1 accumulation in Parkinsonâ²s studies. ⺠The metabolite sodium betahydroxybutryate mitigates these effects in SHSY5Y cell lines. ⺠Results reveal a novel and innate mechanism to prevent neurodegeneration/cell death.
