Abstract
⺠IL-33 is considered a new therapeutic target for reducing inflammation in asthma. ⺠This study shows that IL-33 is a potent chemoattractant for fibrocytes in asthma. ⺠IL-33 also promotes fibrocyte proliferation without reducing collagen production. ⺠The study uncovers a novel non-inflammatory, profibrotic function of IL-33.
